2025 IEEE RAS Summer School on Cooperative Connected and Autonomous Agents

July 21st–25th,

Bari, Italy

Summer School

The school will be held at the Polytechnic University of Bari, utilizing the equipment available in the laboratory of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering the Polytechnic.

The Summer School aims to explore the latest advancements in Cooperative Connected and Autonomous Agents research, covering a wide array of applications and a well-balanced blend of theory and practice. The goal is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the integration of autonomous agents into different sectors, focusing on their roles in enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Topics will include the design, control, and deployment of autonomous agents, as well as their ethical and societal implications.

The summer school will be supported by the RAS TC Automation Cluster and the following RAS Technical Committees: Automation in Logistics, Agricultural Robotics and Automation, Digital Manufacturing and Human-Centered Automation, Machine Learning in Automation, Performance Evaluation & Benchmarking of Robotic and Automation Systems. The summer school is also technically supported by the European project IN2CCAM project “Enhancing Integration and Interoperability of CCAM eco-system”.

The school is primarily considered for in person participation since the networking of students is an important part of the event. Nevertheless, we will also allow virtual participation for students from countries with travel restrictions or limitations.

A tour of the old city and a social dinner is planned for students and teachers.

After attending the school, the Ph. D students will gain 4 credits.
